Destiny 2 Grasp of Avarice loot table and rolls guide (2023)

Added with the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, the Grasp of Avarice dungeon brings some pirate-themed fun to Destiny 2’s dungeon lineup. And while you won’t find any pirate cutlasses or gunpower rifle-themed weapons, you can collect some fan-favorite booty from the original Destiny.

Below is a breakdown of all of the possible loot drops in Grasp of Avarice, which encounters they come from, and what perks can roll on them.

The loot table

Twitter user @oddmcb created this nice loot table for the Grasp of Avarice dungeon and its three encounters. Any piece of loot from the dungeon can drop from the final boss encounter, which always drops two items, making it a great option for farming. This dungeon has no loot lockout and is farmable, meaning there is no restriction as to how many times you can get loot from an encounter in a given week.

To farm the final encounter without needing to run the entire dungeon every time, here’s what you need to do:

Run the dungeon up to the final boss and get a checkpoint for that encounter on a different character than the one you want to farm with – just start the boss fight and intentionally lose. Now that character will start at the boss until they beat the fight. So each time you want to kill the boss, load in with your checkpoint character and let your fireteam join you. Once they join, you can leave and swap to your farming character. Join your friends and you’ll load into the boss fight. Once you kill the boss and get your loot, swap back to the checkpoint character and start the process all over again. It’s a bit tedious, but much faster than running the dungeon each time you want a shot at some loot.

Here are all the weapons that drop from Grasp of Avarice and which perks they can roll with.

Artifice armor

The Master version of the Grasp of Avarice dungeon offers a new kind of loot - something we haven’t seen before in Destiny 2. It’s called Artifice armor, and adds a special armor perk that allows you to slot in an additional seasonal mod from the artifact. This bonus is only available on Master, but it’s guaranteed to be on any armor that drops from a Master run, excluding any secret chests. Make sure to check if your armor is Artifice before dismantling it.

While Artifice armor is still capped at 10 Energy points, it does add some unique options when it comes to build crafting. Be on the lookout for Artifice arms and Artifice class items, as those are where most of the artifact mods slot into, making them the most useful to collect.
