Getting there Access is easiest via the private ferry across Lake St Clair to Narcissus Hut. Private bus from Hobart (3 hour drive) was the best transport option for us. The morning flight arrival meant we could get to Pine Valley same day (just).

stop 1: Mount Anne The Mount Anne Circuit is a 3-day hike of the tallest peak in the Southwest. We set off on the first day intending to get to Shelf Camp. The weather was perfect, rare for Mount Anne, so we summited on day one. The summit itself was challenging with some very dicey sections.

Geryon can be climbed in a day from a camp in the Pine Valley or the Pine Valley hut. Many day walkers do the shorter trip up to the Labyrinth lookout, which does give grand views of Geryon and The Acropolis.
