The four-cylinder CB750 engine employs an integrated crankshaft and metal bearing. 1969-1978 models have SOHC, while post-1978 ones have DOHC, which are deemed a tad more reliable and better-performing. The compression ratio is always within the 9:1 range, except for the detuned CB750A Hondamatic.
