Madame Medusa is the main antagonist in the 1977 Disney animated film " The Rescuers ." She is a greedy and cunning woman who runs a pawn shop and has a scheme to retrieve a diamond hidden in a dangerous swamp. To do so, she kidnaps a young girl named Penny and forces her to find the diamond.
