#1 ยท Feb 25, 2011 Hi, I"m almost there getting a LR4 and one of the option is the Heavy Duty Package. If someone can help, I want to know what it's for and if i should get it. The Heavy Duty package comes with a full size spare and a rear locking differential.

Well, stragely, two different salesman are telling me that the heavy duty package has been discontinued. Anybody with LR connections, please confirm or refute this statement!!!! I am also being told that if you order a black interior, you will only get a piano black wood (2008) and the beige/walnut combination is the only combination.

I have a recently purchased '15 LR4 that I won't do any heavy duty off-roading with but someday I might want to get a second vehicle for exactly that purpose. To that end, I am combing through the forums on how one could spot an HD package on the earlier V8 LR4's but have yet to find a method as easy as figuring out a later model SCV6 14' - 16'.
