The ferry leaves Brier Island to return to Freeport at 25 minutes past the hour (i.e. 1:25, 2:25, 3:25). The ferry from Tiverton to the mainland leaves on the hour (i.e.1:00, 2:00, 3:00). They time the ferries so that when you board the first one for Long Island (a short 5 minute crossing) the second ferry for Brier Island is there waiting so you just get onto that one straight away for another short 5 minute crossing.
