I don't normally purchase red velvet either. I often find it somewhat tasteless and not particularly good. But these are beautifully soft! Even delicately 'moist'. And they do have a gentle red velvet cake flavor that isn't too "chemically" tasting. They are a good quality cake - I'm happy I tried them - you will enjoy them.
