Gypsy soup. Adapted from The Moosewood Cookbook. Ingredients. 2½ Tbsp olive oil; 2 onions, diced; ¼ celery stalk, chopped; 2 cloves garlic, minced; 1 medium sweet potato, peeled and diced; 1 medium white potato, peeled and diced; 1¼ tsp paprika; ½ tsp dried basil; ½ tsp salt; pinch cayenne pepper; 2 bay leaves; 3 cups water; 2 Tbsp soup.
