The last thing I expected to see in the Netherlands was a parrot. Not only did I see a parrot, I saw multiple, in the wild. These parakeets were imported from Pakistan for wealthy Dutch families.

One commonly found parrot in Amsterdam is the African Grey Parrot (Psittacus erithacus). These birds are known for their exceptional intelligence and ability to mimic sounds and human speech.
