Here's my thoughts on 6th edition night goblins. I don't run a full list but I run 2 blocks of 34 with a shaman in each one and a unit of 10-20 archers. My fanatics always seem to wreck havoc on my own stuff. Pretty much always. Someone throws a ghost in their face, pop fanatics. They roll out, hit nothing.

Night Goblin shamans are superior to Goblin Shamans because of mushrooms as well. In terms of power dice, yes. But a goblin shaman in unit of wolf riders adds a lot of versatility. Mounted characters joining fast cav gain the benefits of fast cav. The slightly higher leadership can also be very welcome in some situations. So it's not a auto-pick.

Foot of Gork will always make the Orc Shaman my favorite of the two. I never use either, because they over-gyrate and get knocked out every 4 goddamned turns. Edit: And that's why I like playing as Bloody Hands. Foot of Gork destroys formations, but if you're using a regular shaman you never know if you're going to be able to bust it out in.
