Pear - Cut a pear in half and place it in the center of the tray. Slice some long carrots to form turkey legs and a small triangular nose. Use two chocolate chips or cloves to make Turkey eyes. Fruits - Fresh green grapes, red grapes, a few chunks of pineapple, oranges, strawberries, kiwi fruit, and blueberries.

Every year, we bring you a fun Thanksgiving turkey appetizer fake-out. In years past, our turkey appetizer master has made a Crudi-Turkey (a crudité platter shaped like a turkey) and a Smorgas-bird (a pepperoni, cheese and olive plate). This year, she did not disappoint, making a majestic turkey out of fruit - the Shish Ka-Gobble!

Wash all fruit. Peel oranges and slice apples. Arrange fruit on tray from the outside to the inside (as shown). Place carrot sliver and blueberries on the pear (turkey body) for eyes and beak. Serve. the pear turkey. Slice a bit off of the back of a Bosc pear so it sits flat in the tray. To make the face, use dabs of light corn syrup to adhere the candy eyes, a yellow Mike and Ike for the beak and a red for the wattle. TIP: If you assemble the fruit the night before, don't add the face until right before you serve.

Instructions. Toss the apple slices in a lemon juice to keep them from browning. Put half of a pear on the bottom of the large platter to make a turkey body as shown on the picture. Put the grapes around the pear. Put the cantaloupe chunks around the grapes. Put the blueberries around the cantaloupe chunks.

In the bottom center of a large oval or circle platter, place the pear cut-side down and right-side up. Put some of the paste on the back of the candy eyes and press onto the narrow section of the pear. Slice the carrot in half and carve into feet. Place at the bottom of the pear.

Instructions. Cut the pear in half and place in the center of a platter. Cut out the beak, wings, and legs from baby carrots using a sharp knife. Add the beak and wings to the pear using toothpicks.
