It's parent-teacher conference time, and I always like to include students' input whenever possible.. but wanted to mix it up a bit this year. Working with Growth Mindset, I created a "Glow & Grow" form for students to fill out. The "Glow" side contains what they are most proud of in that subject, while the "Grow" side contains.
The Grows Your child's "grows" are the things they still need to work on. Notice, I didn't call them "weaknesses." Weaknesses are hinderances. They are faults and flaws that prohibit someone from getting where they're going. Grows aren't weaknesses. Grows are those parts of us that need a little work. They are the things we can improve on.
