Pixie Meadowbrite was hybridized from E. tennesseensis, E. angustifolia and E. purpurea genes and introduced by the Chicago botanical garden. Coneflower, also known as echinacea, is a wonderful perennial native to the U.S. midwest and prairies. It does best in a light loamy soil, but will do well in any well-drained soil.
